I changed completely from Windows to Linux Mint(home)/Ubuntu(work) some times ago.
Until now i use the simple Texteditor shipped with the mentioned Linux Distributions for creating private and company intern Hollywood-Projects.

I coded a small Hollywood-Tool "OnSaveRunInterpreter" which monitors the Hollywood-Sourcecode-File and execute the Hollywood-Interpreter when pressing Save on the Texteditor (Timestamp of File is trigger). I know this is a dirty hack and sometimes cause Problems with my Network-Mounts.

So it would be a nice Gift if sometimes the nice Hollywood-IDE-Editor sees the light on Linux.

From what i remeber some talk long ago. Ide is very difficult to be cross compiled

Currently best "alternatives" are SciTe and/or VIM which has some suuport(mainly color syntax)

Try SciTE, I think it is really a good way to develop with Hollywood on Linux because Hollywood can be started directly from SciTE and online help is supported. Not much missing in comparison to the Windows IDE.
