curl does support mqtt (mqtt://hostname/topic/action)...

Is this included in the latest hURL build ?

Since which version is this supported by cURL?

Ok, then it's not supported yet. I think hURL uses 7.64 or something...

I just bought my first wifi power sockets. As the port of the devices is not adjustable (thus port redirection on the router cannot be used), a mqtt server is the only chance to manage them from outside the lan.
Installing a mqtt service on my router is possible but not an easy task.
And then I also would need a mqtt client software (to be programmed).

Well, now I simply will limit my usage to LAN and write a client that directly manages the devices without mqtt.

This is out of scope of hollywood. But a lot of routers support diffirent port from outside to forwarded to diffirent port inside lan (port change)

Of course my router supports that.
